Tom Nohel
Professor of Finance, Loyola University - Chicago
Tom Nohel is Professor of Finance at Loyola University – Chicago, where he has been a professor since 1994. He has also served as a visiting faculty member/Economist at Cornell University, The University of Michigan, The Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago, and most recently at Imperial College in London. Tom is widely published, primarily in the area of corporate finance, with publications appearing Journal of Banking & Finance, Journal of Corporate Finance, Journal of Financial Economics, and the Review of Financial Studies, among others. Most recently his research focuses on Special Purpose Acquisition Companies (SPACs). He was the Director of Loyola’s MS-Finance program for 6 years, and was on the leadership team of the Midwest Finance Association (MFA) from 2013-2020, serving as President of the MFA in 2017-18.
